Claimed their contracts are automatic renewal and came out to service my lawn even though I never called them to restart service for this year as I have always done in years past.

Their office says 'that's the way it is and it's my choice to go somewhere else'. In other words - they could care less about customer retention. I will never use them again and will certainly let everyone I know not to use them in our area.

The front office attitude was pathetic and extremely rude and insensitive. It took them two months to get back to me when I called to complain about the unauthorized service and then to basically say ' that's the way it is'. Adios Scotts Lawn Service 1292f6a

I would NOT recommend using Scotts Lawn Service! We received a flyer offering a free lawn analysis, so we called. They didn't want to do the analysis as they said the first treatment needed to get done before summer arrived. We pushed for it and someone came out and just looked at our lawn - no soil test, etc. After haggling with them on what we wanted done, we foolishly signed up. The second time they came out they applied 3 different treatments and sent us a huge bill. We assummed the treatments would be spread out and not be expected to hand over a lump sum. They did agree to let us pay it in 2 payments. After those treatments, the lawn started dying. It looked like we had hundreds of dogs using the property. I called and was told that others had the same problem (due to them over treating at one time)and that we should water the property. We have about 1 1/2 acres, so this was a ridiculous suggestion. After numerous phone calls and emails, they sent someone to put down grass seed. We had to suggest aerating the lawn first - how was the seed to take on a hard surface? I then had to spend hours a day watering the lawn. So much for saving us time by using a lawn service! Needless to say our water bill went up! The seeds never grew and I was told to contact them in the spring. I sent an email to the contact person and have yet to hear from him. Our lawn looks terrible! So, unless you want your lawn killed off for some reason, find another lawn service!
